It follows you around

I just came across this on Twitter. Not much to say, really, because what can I say?

Deno Okenulowa came from a country where, if he owed some random geezer, then the police could be brought in, take him to jail, and give the key to another random geezer to swallow. Heck, the traffic authorities in this part of the world are so predatory that there are documented cases of them setting people in need up for extortion.

Is it a wonder that Okenulowa was so frightened? It’s the thing that, unknown to most Nigerians, follows us around the world. We are a traumatised people.
