There’s a difference between “former” governor and “ex” governor. For example, in Imo state, Rochas Okorocha is a former governor, while Emeka Ihedioha is an ex-governor.

Having said that, I want to tell a short story…

On 30 June 2019, Ikenna Ukachi was killed by a police inspector in Otoko, Obowo LGA of the state. The murder led to the attack and burning, of the police divisional headquarters in the town by irate youths.

As far as I know, the murderer, Okechukwu Nwanefi, has fallen off the face of the earth. I cannot find any report that says he was arrested.

On 4 July 2019, the ex-governor of Imo state, Emeka Ihedioha, visited the family of the late Ukachi to sympathise with them for their loss, and during the course of the visit, a picture was taken of Ihedioha looking sad as Ukachi’s mother cried over her loss.

Other pix from the visit can be found here.

Today I saw one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen on social media. Kayode Ogundamisi, a sympathiser of Nigeria’s ruling party took a picture of a grieving mother who had just lost her son, in order to make a political point.

What the actual fuck?

I know that the bar is buried in the sewer, but even the rats in the sewers have lines that they would not cross. Can those who are well over 50 please show a decent example for those of us coming after them?

Please!
